Новым открытием российского лейбла Stygian Crypt стал дебютный альбом краснодарской группы с труднопроизносимым названием FFERYLLT. С самого начала музыканты избрали свой музыкальный путь в стиле симфонический folk/Viking metal. Надо сказать, что релиз наверняка не вышел бы таким интересным и завершённым, если бы в записи оного не участвовали приглашённые музыканты в лице Владимира Череповецкого (ARKONA, LOS GAITEROS DE MOSCU), Саймона Мюллера (FOLKEARTH, EXCELSIS, SUNUTHAR), Дианы Тимощенко, Сони Тавормины (SUADA), и Пабло Алена (SKILTRON). Результат такой плодотворный работы не мог пройти даром, альбом “Танец Друидов” получился выше всяких похвал и он не оставит никого равнодушным из числа тех, кто предпочитает данный жанр музыки. На диске уместилось 11 треков, среди которых два кавера: “LAI LAI HEI” авторства ENSIFERUM и “Inis Mona” принадлежащий перу ELUVEITIE. Не могу также не отметить красивое оформление буклета авторства Дианы Лебедевой, ну и сам диск, который сделан с золотым покрытием и с нанесением пит-арт.

There are bands that when they decide to play a specific metal genre, this genre binds them and makes them sound so typical and predictable that the final result ends to be mediocre. On the other hand there are bands and more specifically musicians that from the first time you listen to their music you know they were meant to play this way. “Dance of Druids” is a release of such musicians. All the things on this album sound so well put, that the final result is not just a pleasure to listen to, but also captivates your mind and travels you to the soundscapes that FFERYLLT create for you (us). Their folk metal is combined with some symphonic influences and all these create an epic and glorious atmosphere which is present in all of their compositions. You will also find that on their debut album there have participated well known musicians from this genre (like Vladimir Cherepovsky of ARKONA, Pablo Allen of SKILTRON and many more), a fact that proves the quality of this band. “Dance of Druids” is not just another folk metal release, it´s a well written mature metal album that everyone, no matter what kind of genre likes the most, will enjoy. Finally, I would like to mention the wonderful work that Stygian Crypt Productions did for the packaging of this album. The CD package is so beautiful that gives further value to your money. Ah, one last thing, except for the nine compositions of the band you will listen to the cover of ENSIFERUM’s “Lai Lai Hei” (from their “Iron” album) and ELUVEITIE’s “Inis Mona” (from their “Slania” album). Check this out, we are talking about a new force in the folk metal genre…
